Where is the CAM shaft position sensor located?

The only engine used in 2004 was a 5.4L. This drawing shows the sensor locations.

Hi,

It is on the driver's side front of the engine, mounted in the cylinder head. You need to remove the power steering fluid reservoir and its mount to access the sensor.

I attached a picture and directions below. Pic 1 is just to give you a general location. Pic 3 provides a better view.

Concerning my 2004 Lincoln Aviator, your advice was perfectly spot on. However, I am experiencing trouble removing the power steering fluid reservoir mount. Can you provide instructions for the removal of the mount?

Here's the procedures for the cam sensor and the power steering pump, but nothing is shown for the reservoir. They just show it should take 0.8 hours. Joe may be using a different reference source. He will post more information if he has it.

Update: I found this last drawing under "Front Cover Removal". It may help by showing he bolts for the bracket.

Have you instructions on removal of the mount (bracket)?
