My 1986 Chevy Suburban 6.2 Diesel 226,000 miles. I have a shudder at highway speeds when I try to maintain a speed or utilize the cruise control. It will go away quickly if I remove my foot from the accelerator, or if I speed up. It seems to be coming from the rear of the vehicle, but can easily be felt everywhere, in fact you can not ignore it. What can it be? Please....don't say transmission....It was rebuilt (Jasper) 60,000 miles ago.

Sorry bud,

I think it has [b:4bd3a65348]something[/b:4bd3a65348] to do with the transmisson. Is the check engine light on?

im assuming its an automatic tranny..... does it still shake if you put it in second gear and bring up the rpms? or is it strictly in the overdrive gear

Hi I had the same problem with my car and it turned out to be my tires. either the balancing or your alignment or both. It can also be that one of your tires are wearing faster than the others. I just bought new rims and tires and mine doesn't do that anymore.whenever i used to drive over 70 mph it would shutter...check your tires. ;) hope this helps

Yes, it is an Automatic and the shudder only occurs in overdrive. I can run the same speeds in strait drive with no problems at all.
