2003 GMC Yukon "Check System Stability"

Is the message that reads right before it shuts down. Have taken it to GMC dealer $400 later it was a relay and cable to the fuse box. Again, a month later and 1 GMC dealership closed down so we cant take it back and say, hey what happened here. Chevy dealership wants $1000 to replace a fuel pump that they claim it is but aren't sure. Picked it up just fine after they swapped a fuse for free (so i think), however on occasion reads the same "Check System Stability" message and I'm afraid I'm getting to know Joe from Joe's Tug and Tow a little too much....and have probably paid him just what it would take to fix this.....Any ideas?? * Thanks *

unless the system stability is cutting the vehicle off I'd see no reason the fuel pump would have anything to do with that but stranger things have happened. If it 's only doing this occasionally i'd check to see if there is arelay for it and try switching another one with it to see if it goes away. Also i think this has the shocks that have the electronics going to it. i woul dtry disconnecting and then reconnecting the wire harness on top of the shocks and see if it does anything. By chance does this happen in wet weather? if it does, it may be something as simple as that and losing connection causing that. It could also be a ashock but before you get into replacing stuff like that try the simple stuff first.

The system that this is controlled by is the active brake mangement, or stabilitrak. It helps you to keep control of you car in a skid. It applies small amounts of braking to a wheel that is spinning or skidding. When you see that message push the speedo trip knob and it will go away till you crank it up again.You can drive it,but you won't have stabilitrak funtion. If your brakes begin to apply by themselves the module needs to be looked at.
