Was driving vehicle at 50 mph and the engine died. Just before it died I cranked it over the enginge started and I proceeded down the road, it hesitated/stumbled twice and died. Prior to this no noticeable problems remembered. After it died I crank the engine over coughed (not a back fire) back up through the carboration unit. Cranks over when ignition is turned on but will not start. What could be the causes

This will give you an overview.

You can spary some carb cleaner in the throttle body and then crank it. This may help confirm fuel loss.
IF this happens, I would next check fuel pressure to see if it goes into spec if I can hear the pump energize.
If good check for loss of spark with a spark tester.

Post your findings.
