2002 GMC Truck catalytic converter

My catalytic converter is clogged so I removed the pre and post converter oxygen sensors, unbolted it from the exhaust and manifolds but there is no way this thing is coming out. Do I have to remove the oil pan and heat shield too? Doesn't seem to give enough clearance even if it is removed. What am I missing?

You may have to unbolt the trans from the cross member and carefully lift it with a jack to get the clearance needed.
