1978 GMC Truck 4 cyl

1978 chevy 3x3 and I have put a new starter in. I have no power to the cab at all. No lights no guages no brake lights no head lights.. I do have 12.45 volts in the battery.. it will turn over if I jump the starter

There is a small wire on the starter that goes on the battery cable side of the starter solenoid. That supplys power to the fuse box. Ckeck that the wire is in the right spot and its not damaged.
