1999 GMC Sonoma right axle making loud cracking noises !

My GMC Sonoma has been making loud cracking noises that are coming from the front right axle while moving forward. But if i am at steady speed the noise is a lot quieter. But has soon as i take my foot off the accelerator and slowing or even speeding up the noice is super loud.

Now i had this some noise and problem about 1 year ago and they replaced and put a new RTF AXLE/CV JOINT and it was fixed. Do you think its broken again ? And what would cause that ?

I would take it back the the place that installed it. The shaft should be under warranty... labor..maybe not...depends on the place.. we would cover it if it was...but.

IT sure sounds like an axle. IF the boot is torn, the warranty may not apply and that would explain the early failure.
