I drained and removed all bolts to the tranny, but cannot remove it, do I need to remove the heat shield and the shift cable bracket?

remove the range selector cable bracket for clearance. shouldn't have to remove cable from the lever or bracket though. also have to remove the cat. converter. now remove bolts from the front and sides of pan only then loosen rear bolts 4 turns. lightly tap the pan with a rubber mallet to loosen it and allow fluid to drain. remove rest of bolts and pan should come down

I stripped the 40Torx screw that secyres the cable bracket, the screw is located above the tranny, very little clearance, how can I remove the stripped screw?

will have to use a screw extractor to remove the stripped screw. you use it like a normale screwdriver so you should have clearance.

the cat convertera are welded to the exhaust pipes, do I need to remove both exhaust pipes or do I cut off the cat. converters and weld them back on later?
