2003 GMC Sierra Windshield Wipers??

I turn my wipers on when it rains, but when I turn them off the wipers stay on and I don't know why. I checked the fuses, looked in the book, but I do not want to go to the dealership to pay an outrageous price for this if it is simple, please help!!

This is normally caused by a faulty wiper motor. First you may want to inspect the wiring at the wiper motor as well as the wiper switch to ensure it is not damaged.
