My truck intermittently stalls and sputters, other times runs great. It was determined that the fuel vapor canister was full of fuel and that the vent valve was bad. Ocassionally at startup it would belch fuel on the ground. Shop says that once canister has had fuel inside it is no good, true?. Unknown how fuel got inside. Fuel pump was just replaced by same people. I'm tying to figure out how to proceed. Thanks, Kevin

True! Charcoal canister is full, once soaked, it must be replaced. Vent valve went bad first, allowing fuel to enter instead of fumes.
