My Ign A 40 amp fuse in the underhood electrical panel blows. I replace my cable from the battery junction box to my starter and it didn't blow the first time. So I tried it later and it the fuse blew. Could it be the starter relay or the ignition relay?

Welcome to the forum, thanks for the donation. I'd pull the starter relay, use a jumper wire off battery voltage to terminal 87 at the relay, be sure to use inline fuse on the jumper. Make sure the tranny is in park or neutral and a functional e-brake is set. See if starter will crank without blowing the fuse. there are several circuits that get voltage from that same fuse, but, the other legs all have fuses. If it still blows the fuse might be starter solenoid or wiring circuit?

incase the vehicle starts, if you try that, make sure you are out of the way of fans--belts-- pulleys-- anything. be safe.
