1999 GMC Sierra Engine Locked Up while Moving

I replaced Engine which now runs perfect but transission does not work. Replaced Torque Convertor and the pump which still has not rectified the problem. When engine is revved you can hear a fluid sloshing sound which sounds like it could be coming out of the torque convertor yet it is not picking up fluid from the transmission pan.

RPM at engine idle dops when you go to a gear like it is trying to work yet still no luck

If it does not move in any gear, you need to do a physical line pressure test. If you have nothing at all, you have an issue internal. Was the transmission symptoms the same prior to the converter and pump replacement. If the converter hub was not fully engaged on the pump drive gear and it was bolted up, the pump drive gear is now broken, and probably damaged the pump as well. Did the converter spin freely when it the case was bolted to the engine? I am assuming you have the correct filter, and it is installed fully?

No it does not move in any gear, convertor turned freely when bolted to the engine, new filter identical to original and fully installed. Original convertor did not spin freely, replaced the torque convertor then realized pump was not working and replaced the pump. Only change is now with new convertor it will turn freely prior to bolting to the engine.

It does not have any line pressure because transmission and torque convertor were both bone dry upon installation, added 1 gallon of fluid and yet it is still all in pan, none has been picked up; so unable to add correct amount of fluid because there is nowhere for it to go.

Is this Sierra a 1500, or 2500? It will make a difference in the transmission. I am under the assumption it is a 1500, with a 4L60E trans. What was the condition of the replacement pump, by that I mean, was it a complete bolt on, or was there any assembly necessary. Even if it was installed dry, I don't believe it would cavitate and not eventually pull fluid from the pan and build pressure. Were all pump gaskets and seals in place? Keep in mind, you only added 4 quarts. In either trans, fluid capacity for pan removal is 5-8 quarts, and complete overhaul 11-13.5 quarts. You removed pan, and also replaced converter(which holds approx 5 or more quarts itself), the fluid sloshing you may be hearing is cavitation from existing low fluid still. You did not specify, was this the previous condition before any transmission repairs were made?
