my battery fell out of my truck and shorted the alternator and now my guages go up and down and all around tac jumps speedodomer jumps and the radio goes out especially when i turn on the directional i have replaced the battery and alternator but the gauges still go nuts

Hi hammer124. Welcome to the forum. If possible, measure the battery voltage with a cheap digital voltmeter while the problem is occurring. It must be between 13.75 and 14.75 volts when the engine is running.

Check the small black wire from the battery negative cable where it bolts to the body. Be sure there is no break in that wire.
