Engine Performance problem
1987 GMC Sierra V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 100+ miles

The truck will start and idle fine, but when I accelerate the truck begins to hesitate and backfire. The problem started about 2 weeks ago and has progressively gotten worse. Replaced the distributor cap and button, ignition cables, and spark plugs. Also replace the fuel filter. Could you please help.

Check the igniton timing/throttle position and MAF/MAP sensors to include a fuel pressure check-

Run a fuel injection cleaner and see what happens-
