After rain will not start. Good Spark from coil, and wires. no fouled plugs. No moisture in computer area. Good fuel pressure at throttle body. Could the crankshaft position sensor keep it from starting? It turns over, and sounds as if trying for a second then no catch.

Did you use a gage and check fuel pressure? What is the fuel pressure spec? Do you have an injector pulse?

Any applicable trouble codes? How about your security system? Passlock is an injector disable.

If it will crank, have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the spark plugs? If you have the spider fuel system, the fuel poppets may need cleaning? Any way you can check for applicable trouble codes? At the least, you need an obd 2 code reader.

Nice thing about a van, remove doghouse and engine is in your lap. Using spark tester to good ground, have good spark at all eight plugs. will not have an obd2 reader till tomorrow. As it sits, it seems to be trying harder to start. It now gulps and a little backfire and diesels for abit before shuting down.

You may have to do a compression test.

Try some seafoam, follow the directions.

These vehicles have issues with the distributor.. The cap gets corrosion on the contacts due to moisture buildup inside the distributor. There's a bulletin on this issue. Replace the cap and rotor if cleaning the contacts doesn't get you going. The bulletin recommends popping out the screened vents for better air circulation.

Friends in Florida on vacation and when they got here they had issues it gave a p0300 and bad mass airflow replaced mass airflow and started up fine once it reached operating temp stumbles and hard to restart noticed black soot and smoke from exhaust and smell that it was rich took a fuel pressure reading and turn key on it jumps to 100 then after a while goes down a bit but if i do get it started it would max out over 100 and not even idle properly. I Assumed the fuel regulator was bad so I got a new one. looked a lil Different (all they had avl). but it crossed part number with others that Matched the old one put it in and now i hardly get a stumble then a lil back fire in the Throttle body or intake plenum kinda a bellow sounding swoosh. Also While cranking at night I noticed wires arcing to anything they could wire to wire ,wire to metal and Possibly some under the dist. Not sure if this is another Issue or the Original one also before they left Ohio they replaced fuel pump, and filter also recently replaced are plugs and wires plugs Just the other day again due to the amounts of build up and Recent mileage.

vapor lock should be non existent with an electric fuelpump. check crank and cam sensors for resistance they can go and not give a code if it's high. have the ignition module checked at auto parts. check ecm fuses and ign fuse in underhood fuseblock clean ground at left front of engine. what engine is in this?

You're going to have to access the ignition switch and test the outputs when the problem is present.
