1998 GMC Safari Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The hatchback no longer will stay up when opened. How do I find out how to fix it or can I fix it?

you probably need to replace the hydrolic lifters on either side of door replace both at same time not good to replace only one plus the job it a lot easier to do, when replacing both. Hope ths helps...happy driving.
