i have a 92 s15 jimmy with a 4.3 litter motor with cpi injection,i have owned it for about 8 years and i have had to replace the cpi system beacause they said they are prone to going bad and mine did.any way i have put 3 fuel pumps in it since i have had it none seem to last more than a year or 2 are these models prone to fuel pumps going bad and what do i need to do,or what do i need to look at. thanks for your help

Your problem sounds like a common oversight when changing these fuel pumps. The oversight is failing to replace the chassy wiring harness fuel pump connector. It's the connector that plugs into the fuel pump. It MUST be replaced after being disconnected -- every time.
The reason for this is a bad design that causes the connectors prongs to open up and cause a bad or loose connection. This causes the circuit power or ground to heat up, which puts a strain on the electrical circuit.
Also, make sure that the fuel pump GROUND is clean and connected securely to the frame. A corroded ground connection will also overload the fuel pump circuit.
