Engine Cooling problem
1986 GMC S15 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 20.000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have transmission leak and i'm using alot of transmission fluid is it possible that the fluid is getting into my exhaust and causing it to smoke (white)? this is the only fluid that I am losing from my truck, it doesnt run hot, there is no water mixed with the oil, the truck runs great it just smokes when i begin to accelerate then stops then starts again when i accelerate....also I dont think I have a cracked head or need a head gasket I think it is the fluid leaking into my exhaust.

Dunno what tranny you have-but if you have a vacuum modulator on the tranny could be ruptured and leaking into the intake-trace it back to the intake manifold
