I have a 1984 GMC S-15 with a inline fuel pump I replaced the pump thinking it was bad but the new one didn't work. I took the old one and hooked it up to my battery and the old one worked. Does my truck have a relay and where is it? Can the oil pressure switch be bad causing it not letting the pump get power?

check the glove box for the fuel pump relay. or on the firewall.... and yes it could be the oil pressure switch, but that would effect it mostly when running, not starting
