Ticking noise

1998 Camaro, 85000 miles, 3800 V-6 - When I cold start the car, there is a pretty loud clicking sound from the engine. Kinda like it is low on oil. However, oil level is fine (recently changed). Oil pressure is always good. After a couple of minutes, the noise stops and the car runs great. :?:

You have a temperamental hydraulic valve lifter. Go to the parts store and buy a pint of Rislone. It is an old line mechanics helper, like me the old mechanic.

It will dissipate in the engine and you don't have to remove any oil. I would suggest a fresh oil change with it.
