powertrain meaning and removal 96 olds arora 4.ol

im not familure with what all it takes to remove, but im sure you can remove the heads without pulling the power train.

power train referrs to the engine.

drive train refers to trans, drive shaft, and rear end

thanks for the info on the "trains" . i really am not sure what to do.the mechanic says he has to remove to get the heads off. he hasnt told me a price yet. i would really like to know the truth about this repair before i give the go ahead.
