Map Sensor Location

1986 Pontiac 6000 LE - 2.8 MPFI with 112,000 miles. Has error code to replace map sensor, but do not know where is located in engine compartment. Any one know where located?

MAP sensor. Manifold Absolute Pressure. This part is for emmsision controls. For your vehicle as described it should be mounted on the intake manifold usually front driver side.

Before replacing it though, clear the codes on your computor by disconncecting the battery for about 20 minutes. After reconnecting and starting again, take it for a run for about 20 minutes.
Then recheck to see if the code is there again.
If yes, go ahead and replace the part with A BRAND NEW ONE.
