I own a 2001 chevy impala v6 engine. 6 months ago I had to get my transmission rebuilt. A month ago my Impala started making a whistling noise that continued thru start to finish. The car started jerking when I put it in reverse and began jerking at 70mph hour. I took it back to the shop that rebuilt the transmission due to the warranty. The mechanic said it was not the transmission, but the ignition coils. And charged me $250.00. Does damaged ignition coils cause a car to jerk or am I being ripped off?
