front end makesa rubbing noise in 4 wheel drive and it loses

I have 2002 chevy avalanche with about 70,000 milles recently when i put it in 4 wheel drive the front end was making lie a rubbing noise and the truck seemed like it losed power

The problem lies in either the front axle or front diff. if it only does that in 4WD. Have you checked the oil level in the diff. or the condition of the oil?
