my 1988 gmc pick up 2 wheel drive automatic 305. will run 5 mins then the fuel injectors shut down and it stals. i wait 10 min. and it will start up in 5 min injectors shut down agian. i hve peplaced o2 sensor pvc valve pliges coil rotor button dist cap and checked fuel pump and filter. cud it be the ecm

How do you know it's fuel injectors shutting down?
If memory serves, 1988 is throttle body fuel injection.
The O2 sensor would not cause this (just make it run like crap). I assume you still have spark.

Check your oil pressure sensor. If the ECM detects low or no oil pressure, it will shut down the motor.
Do you still have fuel pressure when it stalls but no injector action? Low or no pressure will cause the system to stall (bad fuel pump).

I believe you can blink the error codes through the engine light (a chiltons manual should have the procedure). This should narrow down what is wrong.
