I just got my blinkers to work. I then put my car into reverse and it blew the fuse. The blinkers work fine until I put the car into reverse. It is a 2001 Pontiac Tranzam Ws6. Could there be a wire on the transmission that isn't working or is pinched when I put car into reverse? Any other ideas cuz I am getting frustrated. What other components are on this curcuit? Thank you

sounds like the reverse lights are on the same fuse. could be the tranny wire pinched shorting out the fuse, try putting in a slightly bigger fuse, then check the trans connection.

How do I check the tranny connection? Do I have to bring the car to my dealer or could I do it myself? I'm a female with very little experience with cars. Which fuse would be the correct one to use if I went a little bigger? It is a mid size 20 (not really small and not big). I hope I don't sound to itiotic.

I've also changed the bulbs back there but the white reverse lights don't come on yet. I pull my fuse out before I back up and then I replace it once the car is out of reverse and the blinkers stay on. I think I may have also mixed the wires when I was changing the blinker bulb housing...the blue, brown and black wires that go inside. They accidentally came out when I was changing the housing. Now, although the blinkers work (until reverse) the running lights come on when the key turns on not when the light switch is activated and the dash lights are gone. I think i might have to play with those three wires again.
