Air conditioner on S-10

The clutch on S-10 Checvy air conditioner will not engage, I have checked the fuse it is good. What else could it be, and does the vacuum have any thing to do with the AC. Thanks

No ac is probably a low refrigerant charge. The vacuum controls the air direction out of the vents only. good luck
