2001 GMC Jimmy turn signals and brake lights

2001 GMC Jimmy 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my right turn signal on my 2001 gmc jimmy slt stoped blinking, it comes on and stays on, i changed the flasher relay with a new one with no avail, while checking the bulbs and sockets on the right side i noticed that the brake lights are also staying on as well, the only time they go off is when useing the left turn signal.. im afraid im at a bit of a loss with this one, can any body offer any help?

EDIT: i have also checked ALL fuses, twice, and have found nothing

Hello, did you check the bulbs at the front, on the right side? Also, I believe the turn and lower stop lamps use the same bulb filament just not at the same time. The lower brake lites are wired through the the turn switch.

i did check all the bulbs on the right side, and in regards to the signal switch the more i lookinto this problem the more im seeing that seems to be the most likely culprate, i just dont want to drop that kind of money unless im 100% sure.

EDIT/UPDATE: I just tinkered with it some more and found that if i held the hazered button just right the brake lites whent off and the right signal started blinking again.. ssooooooo, what do you all think?
