In the past few years I've had problems with wheel bearings (among many other things). I was wondering if you could give me an overview of the significance of the bearings and what can I do as preventive maintenance. Thanks.

Those are sealed hubs, there isnt much you can do for them as far as maintenance goes,If you are running wider/ bigger tires than stock it will wear them out a little faster.Using a high quality replacement will help too. Not a real good design, they fail often so dont feel all alone on this issue
