Noises problem
1997 GMC Jimmy 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

when i sit for while at the light it cut off let sit for while and crank back drive for a while cut off ans same process apply. also a humming sund at the fuel tank.

The noise you're hearing is most likely the fuel pump. Since you're noticing it now, it's probably safe to assume this is a noise it didn't used to make. If the noise started around the same time the performance problems you're having, it's a safe assumption that the electric fuel pump is failing.
