1997 GMC Jimmy 4x4 does not work

My 1997 GMC Jimmy's 4x4 drive does not work. The gear ratios will change correctly when the switch is on 4hi and 4lo. The front tires will not rotate at all.

Check the 4X4 actuator. It's mounted in the engine compartment under the battery. The battery may have leaked and the acid damaged the actuator.
