After having several people look at this I thought I would try the manufacture. I've already gone through 3 alternators. What happens is this. When I start my vehicle all of the lights, interior and exterior pulse. after a few days the battery light flicks off and on at start and then goes off. Other than that it seems to run fine. then eventually the battery ( months later quits charging) it's almost like something is dragging it down. I also have a strange clunking noise in the dash along with a gurgling noise, ( possibly in the heater?) At one point last summer the air conditioning unit started smoking out of the dash accompanied with a burning wire smell. It seems to be working fine now. Could this all be tied together? I bought this vehicle used with only 60,000 mi. at the time. It now has 171,000 and a second motor. I really like this vehicle because it has a split bench seat and column shift. I work part time as a mail carrier and need a vehicle I can drive from the left side. It is getttting harder to find vehicles that don't have consoles. I cant afford right hand drive on part time wages. anything you can suggest would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Cheryl
