1996 GMC Jimmy Oil Leak

1996 GMC Jimmy 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 158,K miles

I have an oil leak somewherer near near the oil filter. I removed the filter and clean it up, but could not located the leak. I was told to check the oil pressure switch, but I don't have access to it. do you have any helpful ideas?

Clean the area with brake clean or carb cleaner and run the engine to locate the leak.If it has an oil cooler between the filter and block, the o'ring and gasket probably need to be replaced

According to a few mechanics these cars are known for wearing the "oil ballister" ...dont really know how to fix it...but check there
