I have just replaced the EGR Valve. Since the Diag
Codes indicated a EGR failure. The "Service Engine Soon" light has now disappeared. My question is that after installing the new EGR Valve, I hear a loud vacuum (air hissing ) noise coming from near the EGR valve. I do not recall this loud Air Noise from the Engine compartment. This may be normal ?
Could you provide some suggestions ?
Thanks

Hello
Thanks for the donation.

No, this is not normal.
It sounds like you have knocked a vacuum line loose. The EGR valve operates directly with the manifold vacuum so I suggest checking the hoses around the installation area of the EGR valve. Ensure all hoses are tight and free of any damage that will cause leaks.

Post your results and I will follow up.

Hope this helps..
