1994 GMC Jimmy battery

My jimmy sat for 3 months when i got home the battery was dead the i replaced it and discovered that the tail lights would not go off I pulled the fuse for the taillights and the next morning the battery was dead I replaced the battery again now it wont even turn over Brand new battery and no lights nothing can you help me?

id say start with replacing your headlight switch.
this switch controles the head lights, taillights, and interior lights( on most)
i have seen some short out inside and turn on all the lights and i believe that the interior lights are on a different fuse than the tail lights. id say make shure the interior lights arent on even after you pull the other fuse. start there and give me updates!

Have the battery load tested and double check your connections. If it continues to drain do below

Get a test light and disconnect the negative battery cable now put the light between the cable and battery negative post is the light On? If so start removing fuses one at a time -the fuse that turns off the light is the trouble circuit. Then break out the electrical wiring diagram.

In the event you removed all the fuses and the light is still On disconnect the alternator batt. feed and the connector-if this one turns off the light-the alternator has bad diodes.

Or you can use an ammeter which is the preffered method to check for an excessive parastic drain
