1992 GMC Jimmy power steering pump

To better assist you is your vehicle just a Jimmy or is it a Jimmy Typhoon. Also please give me your engine size in liter and the 8th digit of your VIN.

sorry, the truck is accually a chevy blazer 1991 or1992 the 8th didget of vin is w. the engine is a votec 4.3 litre. please reply asap my only transpo. thanks for your help!!!!

Hello - The information you requested and bleeding procedures. Also, your vehicle is: 1992 Chevy Truck S10/T10 Blazer 2WD V6-262 4.3L VIN W CPI

Disconnect pressure and return hoses from power steering pump or steering gear housing, then secure ends in raised position to prevent oil drainage. Cap all open lines and fittings. Remove power steering pump belt, then power steering pump attaching bolts. Remove power steering pump assembly, Fig. 22. System Bleeding Notes Fill pump fluid reservoir to proper level and let fluid settle for at least two minutes. Start and run engine for a few seconds. Do not turn steering wheel. Turn engine Off. Check fluid level, add fluid if necessary. Repeat above procedure until fluid level remains constant after running engine. Raise front end of vehicle so wheels are off ground. Start engine. Slowly turn steering wheel in both directions, lightly contacting wheel stops. Add power steering fluid, if necessary. Lower vehicle and turn steering wheel slowly from lock to lock. Stop engine. Check fluid level and refill as required. If fluid is extremely foamy, allow vehicle to stand a few minutes and repeat above procedure.
