2005 GMC Envoy Automatic
The airbag light in the Envoy has been going on and off for the last couple of days. We have taken it to the dealer and they informed us that there is something wrong with the coil within the steering column. They are also telling us that the airbag will deploy, if the light if off, if the light is flashing the airbag will not deploy. They are asking 500$ for a replacement coil. Does this coil need to be replaced, or is there something else that could be done to fix the problem? Or is it possible that the coil is not the problem in the first place? Is there anyway to reset the light without replacing the coil?
