My key wont turn in my ignition but my steering wheel isn't locked.

Hello,
This is common when the key and tumbler where out and need to be replaced. Buy the new unit from the dealer and bring your VIN# and proof of ownership so they can code the new unit for you before it is installed. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

2003 GMC Envoy 6 cyl 90000 miles
My car will start but will not turn completly off. It will go through the gears but when I try and turn it off it doesn't shut off complete, only goes to the accesory position. Doors lock/unlock when you go to park to drive but still won't shut off nor will the key come out. Any ideas?

It sounds like the tumbler has gone bad and will need replaced.
