2003 GMC Envoy Power Windows

It sound's like a bad window motor you would have to see if you had power and ground to the window motor when the window wasn't going up.If that was the case i would replace the motor or motor regulator and hold off on replacing the switch.

Since the motor operates with out issue on the 'down' direction indicates to me that the motor is in good working condition. The problem is that it does not operate in the 'up' direction.

The switches function is to reverse polarity to change the directinon of the motor (window). Since this is not occuring, leads me to believe it the problem is in the switch (or contact).

Here's the problem it take's more force to raise the window then to make it go down.So if you have a weak window motor or it's drawing to much power to make it go up it's thermal breaker in the motor will kick out.The thermal breaker is what shuts the power off to the motor when it reaches full up or down position.Unless you checked to see if you have power and ground to the motor when it doesn't go up your just guessing as to what is really wrong with the window.So if you want to guess the switch then good luck too you but if you guess wrong your going to be paying more because then you just bought a switch and now you will being paying for the window motor/regulator.I gave you my best advice do with it what you want.
