2003 GMC Envoy V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

in the past week my truck has had problems starting (probavly has happened 5-6 times)when i turn over the ignition onlt the dash/lights come on then nothing else happens if i try it again, absolutely nothing!if i let it sit for 10 minutes or so it uaually starts up. what's going on?I was told maybe the safety neutral switch.

Try to shift it into nuetral next time and see if it starts that way.

How are the headlights when it doesn't start, bright or dim?

Do the lights dim when you try to crank it?
