2004 GMC Canyon Tail Gate Latch Broke

alot of times they don't breakjust need to be lubed because they aren't used that much . other times the clips that hold the rods on break and are an easy repair as the rod falls off. carefully look at wher ethe handle is and see if you can see th rods moving whenyou pull the handle. if they don't move then lube it up all over. if not there are only a fewbolts that hold it in place.....
