I have 83 GMC step Van like FED EX. Its 3500. It was running fine. I changed oil,oil & oil filter, air filter, gear oil, spark plugs, spark plug wires, coolant, wipers etc altogether after that I did not drive but started every two weeks so battery will not go dead. After starting for 3-4 times like that, I noticed that the engine will start & stall immediately so I did not bother starting again for almost 9 months assuming the gas is not enough in the tank.
Now I filled up 5 gallons of gas in the tank & sprayed the starting fluid in the carburetor & cranked the engine it started rightaway but it died immediately despite pumping the gas paddle several times.
Every time I fill up the carburetor with gas it will start & stall immediately. I do not know if I messed up the connection of vacuum hoses or is it something else?!!
