I have a 97 Sierra, and as I was driving it died on me. I have replaced coil and ignition module, and still don't get a spark. I also checked the distributor. What else could it be?

I have replaced the coil, and ignition module, I got shocked when checking the distributor cap, so I figured that worked.

Plugs are a dark brown, they look good. I have checked for spark on the plugs, but haven't done anything else with the wires.

It looks like the rotor that has some corrosion. I am trying to post a picture.

Sounds like you think the issue is with the rotor and if you have replaced all this other stuff and not the rotor then I would trust your instincts.

Here is a guide that will help with checking for spark in case you need it, but it sounds like if we go with the rotor that it will solve the issue.

I am attaching the info from the manual on how to install it.

Please let us know what you find. Thanks

I replaced the rotor, and it was the problem. I replaced that and the cap, and it runs great.
