I have to replace the wheel studs on my left front hub/brake assembly, which requires removal. i followed all the steps from my Haynes, removed the hub locking mechanism, but the thing still won't come off. am i missing something? any tricks to motivate this thing off of here?

will the ring in the pic come off , because if i remember right it should spin off allowing access to the outer bearing and essentially allowing the rotor to come off
