2004 GMC C1500 Speedometer Won't work

i would obtain a code scanner and see if vehicle speed sensor is reading in the engine control module. this would be something to start with. see what you can find out and get back to me

I believe there was a recall by GM for this problem (my 2004 Chevy Silverado was recalled). They had to replace the entire instrument panel.
