Have replaced distrubitor cap three times in six months, is this possably a problem with distrubitor?

Ok, well what is the problem you are having? Without knowing your problem we cannot honestly say.

It`s very possible that your dist. went bad. I had the same problem with my 98 sierrs, the caps would last about six months then three then it needed one about every six weeks. I changed the ignition coil thinking a wesk spark might be fauling out the cap but it didn`t make a difference. Changed the distributor and that fixed the problem. Good luck!
