1997 GMC C1500 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

will the transmission from a 1999 gmc c1500 fit my 1997 without a lot of hassle?

there should be no hassle 97 through 99 4x4 and 2 Wheel Drive, Run the same transmission, which is the 4L60E, they came bolted up behind the 4.3, 5.0 and the 5.7, the only difference was the diesel. It runs a 4L80E, just for your information.
