While finishing up reinstalling dash assembly after heater core repairs, I accidentally arced a couple wires in the bundle leading into the multi-switch (blinkers, wipers, and the cruise control, or possibly along the ignition switch harness that runs alongside it (I could not determine which had arced, but I was using a pic tool to ensure a couple connector pins were snug in the connector clips which is what caused it).
The result was that my security light instantly illuminated and has stayed on solid. The truck is in locked in theft deterrent mode (cranks and fires for just a quick second then shuts off) and I'm stranded on a muddy road several miles from home in the cold. I have tried the relearn procedure, but the security light never flashes or turns off, it just stays on solid (at least mostly, my dash info center cycles between messages like my current low fuel, low washer fluid, and the security warning).
Any suggestions?
