my 94 Tracker keeps dying on me. one day my car would nt start so i had the battery tested at auto zone they told me it was dead so i replaced it. my car ran fine for about four days then my radio shut off and all of my lights interior/exterior drastically dimmed until i lost all power and the engine shut off. auto zone told me my alternator was dead, so i replaced that. car ran fine for about three days then ran into the same problem. i tested my battery with a voltmeter and got a reading of 12.1, with the car running, which i had to jump, i got a reading of 14.5. with the car running and a carrying a load i got a reading of 8.3. does this mean i have a short in my system? or is it something else?
