1996 Geo Prizm 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 13'000 miles

I have a 96 Geo prizm with a failing engine and I have a friend with a 1999 engine in great condition. My question is can the 1999 engine bolt up and be used in the 1996 Geo. Both have manual transmissions

best bet is to call a salvage yard, they have a program that can cross reference the parts.
